NEWPORT AQUATIC CENTER HOURLY MEMBERSHIP, GUEST, CLASSES AND CLINIC AGREEMENT

This agreement contains a release and waiver of important legal rights. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

 

  1. I certify that I can swim
  2. I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, instructions and safety regulations concerning the Newport Aquatic Center.
  3. I assume responsibility for washing off the boats and putting them back on the rack, and will seek assistance if needed.
  4. I am aware that certain risks exist in canoeing, rowing and kayaking. Among other things, these risks include adverse weather, exposure to the elements, capsizing, collision with other vessels and drowning. Such risks, as well as unexpected or unforeseen events or conditions could lead to physical injury or death. I voluntarily participate in this program with the knowledge of the dangers involved and agree to accept any and all risk of injury or death.
  5. I release and agree that I will not sue or make any claim against the Newport Aquatic Center (to include their owners, partners, officers, affiliates, employees, agents or members) for any damage occurring during my activities before, during or after the program, whether the above named are actively or passively negligent.
  6. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this a release of liability and a contract between myself  and the Newport Aquatic Center and I sign this agreement of my own free will.
  7. The Newport Aquatic Center will hold my drivers license until boats are brought back, washed and re-racked.
