Practice Friday and Weekend Information

Dear Parents,
Well, we have tried to remain hopeful that things would
change, but it appears that the air quality is still too
poor to conduct rowing practices. We are going to follow
the lead of the Newport Mesa School district and cancel all
practices today, and this weekend. This includes the
Erg-a-thon, which has been rescheduled for Sunday,
November 18th.
The Newport Autumn Rowing Festival is still scheduled for
Sunday, November 4th.
If at all possible, we encourage athletes to go to a gym
and get some form of cardiovascular exercise.
At this point, plan on regular practice for
Monday.
We apologize for the change in schedule, and hope everyone
stays safe through this terrible tragedy.

Practice Thursday and Erg-a-thon Information

Dear Parents,
Practice is cancelled today, Thursday, October 25th for all
athletes, due to the smoke, wind, and weather conditions.
If any athlete would like to do light indoor activity, the
coaches will be available during regular practice hours.
The Newport Autumn Rowing Festival is still scheduled for
Sunday, November 4th. In order to be prepared for the race
we are hoping to add practices this weekend if the air
quality improves. This means that we need to postpone the
Erg-a-thon until Sunday, November 18th.
As long as the air quality improves the schedule will be as
follows:
Saturday (Oct 27) 6:15- 9:00 AM:Novice Boys and
Novice Girls
Sunday (Oct 28) 6:15-9:00 AM: Varsity Boys and Varsity
Girls (NO ERGATHON)
Sunday, November 4th-- Newport Autumn Rowing Festival
Sunday, November 18th-- Erg-a-thon and Rowing
Expo.
We will continue to keep you up to date as the week
progresses.

Dear Parents,
Practice is cancelled today, Tuesday, October 23 for all
varsity boys and novice girls and boys, due to the smoke,
wind, and weather conditions.
Practice is optional for varsity girls. Varsity girls will
be staying indoors and will not be doing anything
strenuous.
We will keep you posted about practice Wednesday.
